The Mission Plan Action Group of the Presbytery of Forth Valley and Clydesdale has come up with its plan for the Charges of Biggar, Blackmount, Libberton and Quothquan and Symington.

In its simplest terms, Symington Church is to close, Libberton & Quothquan Church is to close and Blackmount Church is to close. Biggar will be the main worship centre.

However Symington Church Hall, Blackmount Church Hall and Biggar Church Hall will remain open. No reason is given for them remaining open or how regularly they will be used.

Any proposed amendments to this plan have to be in the hands of the Presbytery Clerk by 29th September 2023.

The Kirk Session is meeting on 22nd September to discuss these proposals further.
